Goal
Set the people responsible for tracking a major repair, or assign yourself.
Audience
Administrator (assign anyone) or member (self-assign).
Prerequisites
- A major repair exists.
Steps

Open the detail → "Assignees" tab. The current assignees are shown.

An administrator selects assignees; a member uses "Assign me" or "Remove me".

The change is saved ("Assignees updated.") and logged in the History tab.
Multiple assignees
A major repair can have several assigned people; each assignment or removal is logged.
Tips and common errors
- Reminders: assigned people are the recipients of the "Send reminder" button (see Filter, export and send a reminder).
