Goal
Correct a status set by mistake. Unlike resolution, an override rewrites the status, even a terminal/locked one (Compliant, Non-compliant, Cancelled). To preserve the Law 16 audit, every correction requires a mandatory reason and is logged.
Audience
Administrator only. A non-admin member does not see the options that force the lock.
Prerequisites
- The work order is at a terminal / locked status (or you want a normally forbidden transition).
- Be an administrator.
Steps
-
Open the work order, click "Edit".
-
Open the "Current status" menu. Statuses that force the lock are prefixed with an arrow ⤺ (visible to administrators only). Choose the desired status.
-
A "Reason for the correction" field (required) appears: "Why was this status wrong?". Enter the justification.

-
Click "Save". A "Status corrected and logged" message appears.
The correction is rewritten AND logged
The override changes the status (the compliance count is recomputed), but the trace (old status → new, who, when, reason) is kept in the "History" tab under "Status corrected (admin)".
Tips and common errors
- Reason required: without a reason, the correction is blocked.
- Override ≠ resolution: to say "the problem is fixed" without rewriting the status, use Resolve a non-compliance instead. The override is for correcting a mistaken status.
- Scope: the admin correction also exists on routine repairs and major repairs, to fix a status everywhere.
