Change a member's business role
Edit the business role shown on a building team member's card.

Goal
Update a member's business role (co-owner, manager, etc.) without touching their administrator rights.
Audience
Administrator of the building.
Prerequisites
- Be an administrator.
Steps
- Open the "Building settings" modal from the dashboard, Team tab.
- On a member's card, the role is shown under the name as a clickable pill (indigo background + pencil icon).
- Click the role pill: it turns into a drop-down list of the available roles.
- Choose a new role. The change is applied immediately and a confirmation message appears. The list also closes if you click elsewhere.
Editable even on your own card
Unlike administrator promotion, changing the business role is possible even on your own card.
Tips and common errors
- Same role: if you choose the role already in place, no change is saved.
- Read-only access: if the subscription is suspended (unpaid), the role shows as a grey, non-clickable pill; editing is disabled.
- Failure: an error message appears if the change fails; try again.
