Promote or demote an administrator
Grant or revoke administrator rights for a team member from their card.

Goal
Grant or revoke administrator rights for a building member.
Audience
Administrator of the building.
Prerequisites
- Be an administrator.
- The action applies to another member: you can't change your own administrator rights from your card.
Steps
- Open the "Building settings" modal from the dashboard, Team tab.
- In the member list, find the card of another member. An administrator member carries an amber "Admin" badge.
- On the right of the card, click:
- Make admin: grants administrator rights.
- Remove admin: revokes the rights (amber button, shown if the person is already an administrator).
- The change is applied immediately and a confirmation message appears.
The actions don't appear on your own card
The promotion and removal buttons only show on other members' cards. Your own card doesn't expose these actions.
Tips and common errors
- Missing buttons: the actions only appear on other members' cards and if you're an administrator.
- Read-only access: if the subscription is suspended (unpaid), the management actions have no effect and the buttons are hidden.
- Failure: an error message appears if the change fails; try again.
