Goal

Audience

Administrator (the person who creates the building becomes its first administrator).

Prerequisites

A building address located in Quebec (the service is offered in Quebec only).
A credit card to start the subscription (the first 3 months are free).

Steps

Open the wizard: from the "My buildings" selector in the header (the "Create a building" entry at the bottom of the menu), from the "Create a building" button in the header when you have no active building, or from the no-building home screen. The wizard header shows "New building" with the "Step 1 of 4" indicator.
Step 1 (Basic information): fill in the Building name, the Address (Google Maps autocomplete field), the Postal code (Canadian format A1A 1A1), then, optionally, the Year built, the number of Floors, the number of Units and the Reserve fund panel ("Current fund balance" + "Reference date"). The Next button stays disabled until the name, the address and a valid postal code are filled in.
Step 2 (Structure): choose the Structure type, the Exterior cladding and the Roof type from the drop-down lists, then the Fiscal year start month (1 to 12) and, if needed, some General notes.
Step 3 (Amenities): check the amenities present (elevator, parking, pool, gym, community room, sauna, rooftop terrace, central HVAC, sprinklers, cameras, etc.).
Step 4 (Role and payment): choose Your role from the list, review the price summary ($3.50/unit/month billed annually, $250/year floor, + GST/QST, with 3 free months and the first billing date), then fill in the card form (secure Square payment).
Click Create. Your card is validated securely, then the subscription starts (3-month trial). Once the building is activated, it becomes your selected building.

The building is created after payment is confirmed

The building isn't saved at the moment you click: it's created once the subscription is confirmed. If payment fails or you abandon the wizard, no ghost building is created.
