Delete a building (danger zone)
Permanently delete a building from the danger zone, with confirmation by typing the name.

Goal
Permanently delete a building and all its associated data.
Audience
Administrator of the building.
Prerequisites
- Be an administrator.
- Be aware that this action is irreversible: there's no trash bin and no undo.
Steps

Open the "Building settings" modal from the dashboard, then the Settings tab.

Scroll down to the "Danger zone" block (red frame), which reminds you the operation is irreversible.

Click the red "Delete this building" button. A confirmation-by-typing field appears.

To confirm, retype the exact building name in the confirmation field. The final delete button stays disabled until the text you type matches the building name exactly.

Once the name is correctly retyped, click the Delete button. The building and its data are deleted, and the modal closes.
Permanent and irreversible deletion
Unlike removing a member (reversible), deleting a building actually erases its data. No reactivation is possible. Make sure you're deleting the right building.
Tips and common errors
- Double confirmation required: you can't delete without retyping the exact name; this is a safeguard against accidental deletion.
- The button stays greyed out: check the name you typed (spaces, accents and capitalization must match exactly).
- Deletion failed: an error message appears and the deletion is cancelled; try again.
- Cancel: close the confirmation or click Cancel to keep the building.
